Iridology is the study of the iris of the eye (the coloured section) to determine information about the body's genetic strengths and weaknesses, levels of inflammation and toxaemia, nutritional deficiency, efficiency of the eliminatory systems and organs, and potential causes and symptoms and disease. Every organ and body system reveals its tissue health state in the iris via direct nerve paths from the brain through the optic nerve. Iridology is a most valuable diagnostic tool which looks at the colours and markings in the iris and sclera.

Iridology helps the patient learn about their strengths and weaknesses and become more personally aware of what they can do to help themselves.  The understanding of the pathways to disease will enable a well trained Iridologist to explain your current health status to you and to guide you as to the best ways of reversing conditions and managing genetic weaknesses.

Iridology does not name diseases. Doctors from all over Europe and America developed the map of the iris over the last 200 years.

We look at the iris with an iriscope plus the handheld torch and often utilise photos or slides.
